How to Pack Smart for a Summer Move
Summer is one of the best times to move. School is out, families are taking summer vacations, and the weather is warm. However, warmer weather comes with its own complications, especially when you factor in the high humidity of Virginia.

Start early and pack your non-essential and infrequently used belongings first. We’re talking storage bins, winter clothing, guest rooms, and books.
Ensure that you label boxes as clearly as possible and avoid overpacking them to ensure they remain easily transportable in terms of weight. You can even color-code your boxes to help streamline the drop-off process.
Tip #2: Pack Heat-Sensitive Items Strategically.
Some of your belongings may not be able to withstand the heat, so you won't want to leave them in a hot car or moving truck for extended periods during the heat of the day. Make sure these items travel in your personal vehicle or get packed last, so they're not overheating in a truck:
