Founded in 1973 by University of Virginia students, Charlottesville Moving Solutions (CMS) has evolved into a full-service, professional moving and storage company serving the East Coast with direct delivery and a trained, trustworthy team. We are committed to making your move seamless, safe, and stress-free, whether it is local, long-distance, residential, or commercial.

At Charlottesville Moving Solutions, we are dedicated to providing reliable and efficient moving and storage solutions tailored to meet our customers’ unique needs. With a focus on exceptional service, safety, and community engagement, we strive to make every move a seamless and stress-free experience.
Direct Delivery
At Charlottesville Moving Solutions, we aim to get you into your new home or office as quickly as possible. We will move you any day of the week with direct service to 31 states along the East Coast. You can take advantage of our complete packing services, and we’ll store your belongings in our climate-controlled warehouse if needed.
We own our trucks. Our fleet is well-maintained, clean, and dedicated to moving household and office belongings. We do not combine shipments on our trucks. Therefore, we can offer overnight service and guaranteed pickup and delivery dates. The movers who pack and load your belongings will be the same employees who transport and unload your items. There are no long window deliveries or new faces at your destination because we deliver directly to your new home.

Our employees are handpicked from hundreds of applicants and have passed our extensive criminal background checks.
Each mover attends training sessions, including packing and moving our training house, a virtual residence located in our warehouse. The Charlottesville Moving Solutions training house includes everything our movers encounter on an actual move: china, photos, lamps, antiques, and major appliances. New hires also watch a company-produced video that guides them, step by step, through a successful move. Finally, our movers must complete Department of Transportation driving and safety regulations tests.
Our bonus system incentivizes movers; we evaluate delivering furniture safely, keeping our trucks clean, and driving safely. We also review customer evaluations completed at the end of every move. Our employees are responsible and trustworthy, and they understand the importance of your home and furnishings.
